Working closely with the team at Oyuki, I was given a Kodama theme as the foundation for this graphic. From there, the focus shifted to designing a composition that visually translates on a pair of skis. Skis are a tricky format to work with, given the amount of “dead space” between the bindings, so the artwork has to hold its weight both as a full piece and on the snow.
