Built for Rhythm Japan’s 20-year anniversary, this in-store banner artwork is a visual story of the shop’s journey, told through a run of illustrated scenes and milestones.
The key was making it sit clean in the space, not scream over it. Colours and shapes were designed to work with the timber, black steel, and lighting, so the fit-out still feels sharp, but the store gains energy, movement, and a narrative layer.
A complex story, built to sit naturally inside the store. The artwork complements the fit-out and lighting, while capturing the unique journey of Rhythm Japan, 20 years of milestones, seasons, and community, told as one connected visual narrative.
Installed across Rhythm Japan’s universal sliding rack storage system, rolled out in-store across three locations, Hakuba, Niseko, and Furano. The modular panels were designed to shift with each layout, keeping the story connected while fitting the function of the racks and the flow of each store.
